What is Conveyor Belt Sushi?
Conveyor Belt Sushi also known as Kaiten Sushi (回転寿司), Sushi-Go-Round, Kuru Kuru Sushi (くるくる寿司), Carousel Sushi, and Sushi Train.
The motivation behind this system is to make your dining experience quick and fun. Smaller portions allow you to enjoy a variety of delicacies without exorbitant whole roll prices. The rotating belt will display a steady array of fresh sushi and delectable kitchen foods until the store hour hits closing time.
How does the Conveyor Belt system work?
- Find a comfortable spot (bar or booth).
- Order drinks.
- Get your eating utensils and condiments ready.
- Admire the edible beauty on the belts.
- Pick your favorites off of the belts.
The prices are according to the color coding of the plates. You can grab things off of the belts as well as order off of the menu. Don’t be shy to ask for what you want.
Is it a Buffet?
It is a buffet-styled eating, but it is NOT an All-You-Can-Eat buffet. The color coding of the plates indicates the pricing of each plate and at the end of the meal, the server will tally the plates by the colors and give you the bill.
For a speedy check-out, stack the plates by the colors as you dine.
Questions regarding freshness are most undoubtedly frequent. Some customers come in with the preconceived notion that conveyor belt sushi can never be fresh. There is nothing wrong with being inquisitive but some are simply plagued by perpetual suspicion:
“I am also not a fan of conveyor sushi, how do they or I know how long it has been on that belt, maybe that’s why it’s called Forever Sushi.” -Doug H. (Bonney Lake, WA) in Yelp’s Filtered Reviews
We handpicked our chefs and servers to carefully watch the belts because we uphold a strict honor code. We would never put items on the belts that we would not eat personally; no item should be left neglected for a mere profit.
There is nothing more or less we can do to convince these skeptics, other than to present Forever Sushi’s best quality on each and every plate. If anything is deemed substandard, please let us know. We are listening.
